CONSUL — Launch Video Script

"The Delegation Problem"

Runtime: ~1:55 · Style: Founder to camera, casual, direct · Platform: Twitter/X, LinkedIn, social launch

Beat 1: The Hook [0:00–0:08]

FOUNDER (to camera, natural, not rehearsed)

Every founder, exec, busy person I talk to tells me the same thing.

(beat)

They just wish they had more help.

(beat)

Because admin work? That's not the work that drives you forward.

🎬 VISUAL: Founder talking directly to camera. Clean background. No set dressing. Feels like a conversation, not a commercial.

Beat 2: The Problem [0:08–0:20]

FOUNDER (pace picks up slightly)

Here's what actually happens every day.

(beat)

You wake up. Forty new emails. Half your calendar is broken. Three scheduling threads still going from last week.

(beat)

You forgot to follow up with that investor. You can't remember what you agreed to in yesterday's meeting.

(beat)

And by the time you've sorted through it all? The day's gone.

🎬 VISUAL: Quick cuts — inbox with 40+ unread, calendar with overlapping blocks, Slack pings stacking, an unanswered email thread. Fast. Stressful. Relatable.

Beat 3: The Claim [0:20–0:28]

FOUNDER (shifts tone — calm, confident)

So we built Consul.

(pause — let it land)

It works on iMessage. WhatsApp. It has its own email. Its own inbox.

(beat)

It works wherever you do.

🎬 VISUAL: Cut to Consul on iMessage → Consul web dashboard → Consul email identity. Three channels, quick transitions. Clean.

Beat 4: Demo Loops [0:28–1:25]

Loop 1: Morning Brief

FOUNDER

Every morning, before I've started my day, Consul sends me this.

🎬 VISUAL: Phone on nightstand. iMessage notification slides in. Open the brief.

What needs to get done. What my day looks like. The context I need going in.

(beat)

It already caught that my 2pm conflicts with a board prep call. Already drafted a reschedule.

(beat)

I just approve it.

🎬 VISUAL: Close-up on the brief message — meetings listed, conflict flagged in red, "Approve reschedule?" button visible. One tap.

Loop 2: Inbox

FOUNDER

It tags and cleans my inbox. Runs scheduled routines. Clears out the noise, sends me a summary.

🎬 VISUAL: Gmail inbox — labels applied, emails sorted. Before/after split if possible.

And it drafts responses. Not generic AI replies.

(beat)

Replies with real context from real conversations.

🎬 VISUAL: Open a draft reply. Highlight the line where Consul references a decision from a meeting last Thursday. The viewer sees it pull context no generic tool could.

Loop 3: Scheduling

FOUNDER

Scheduling? I just text it.

🎬 VISUAL: iMessage thread opens.

"Find time with Sarah this week."

(beat)

Consul handles the back-and-forth over email. Books it. Confirms back to me.

🎬 VISUAL: Show the chain: iMessage text → Consul sends email to Sarah with three slots → Sarah picks one → calendar event appears → Consul confirms via iMessage. Fast animated sequence.

I never opened my calendar. Never checked availability.

(beat)

One text. Done.

Loop 4: Relationships

FOUNDER

And Consul doesn't just know my contacts. It knows my relationships.

🎬 VISUAL: Consul Relationships page — contacts with tags, last interaction dates, relationship strength indicators.

When I say "email John," it doesn't ask which John.

(beat)

It already knows who matters to me, how we're connected, and when we last spoke.

🎬 VISUAL: Type "email John" → Consul resolves to the right John instantly. No disambiguation prompt.

It even tells me who I haven't talked to in a while. So nothing falls through the cracks.

🎬 VISUAL: Relationship recommendation card: "You haven't spoken with David in 3 weeks. Want to follow up?"

Loop 5: Meetings & Closing Loops

FOUNDER

Before every meeting, Consul sends me a prep note. Who's attending. What they care about. Action items from last time.

🎬 VISUAL: iMessage prep note arrives 5 minutes before a meeting. Attendee names, context, previous action items listed.

After the meeting? It pulls the notes and the transcript. Tracks what was decided. Tracks what I owe people.

🎬 VISUAL: Meeting notes view — transcript, AI summary, action items extracted and assigned.

(pause — this is the emotional beat)

So when someone says "hey, did you follow up on that?"

(beat)

I already did. Because Consul closed the loop for me.

🎬 VISUAL: Email sent, task checked off, thread resolved. The loop is closed. Clean.

Beat 5: Social Proof [1:25–1:33]

🎬 VISUAL: Quick text overlays on screen. No talking heads. Just quotes and names. 2 seconds each.

"Texting my assistant via iMessage is a game-changer."Brian Herrera, Founder

"The scheduling alone is worth it."Jack Nykaza, COO

"Completely transformed how I manage my inbox."Nick Morin, CEO

Beat 6: CTA + Vision [1:33–1:55]

FOUNDER (back to camera, grounded, genuine)

This is day zero for Consul. We're announcing our open beta for founding members.

(beat)

And this? This is just the beginning.

(pace slows — this is the vision moment)

Consul is going to reinvent what executive assistance means. Across all your tools. All your surfaces.

(beat)

Email. Calendar. Slack. Docs. Drive. Contacts. Meeting notes. All of it.

(beat)

So you can have peace of mind. And do what you actually do best.

(long pause)

Which isn't admin.

(small smile)

🎬 VISUAL: Consul logo fades in. consul.so underneath. Tagline: "Request founding access."

Hold for 3 seconds. End.

Production Notes

Pacing Guide

  • Beats marked (beat) = ~0.5 second pause. A breath. Let the line land.
  • Pauses marked (pause) = ~1–1.5 seconds. These are the emotional anchors. Don't rush them.
  • The biggest pause in the entire script is before "Which isn't admin." That line is the closer. Give it room.

Tone

  • Talk like you're explaining this to a friend over coffee. Not a pitch deck. Not a keynote.
  • Slight frustration in Beat 2. Calm confidence in Beat 3 onward. Pride in Beat 6.
  • Never sound like you're reading. If it feels rehearsed, it's wrong.

Key Moments to Nail in Edit

  1. The conflict catch — The brief catching the 2pm conflict before the founder did. This is the first "wow."
  2. The draft with meeting context — The reply referencing a real past conversation. This separates Consul from every generic AI tool.
  3. "One text. Done." — This should feel like a mic drop. Cut to the calendar event appearing. Silence for a beat.
  4. "It doesn't ask which John." — This is the relationship differentiator. Let it breathe.
  5. "Did you follow up on that?" — This is the emotional gut-punch. Every founder has felt this. Pause before and after.
  6. "Which isn't admin." — The final line. Smile. Cut to black.
